I’m Tired

The past two months for me have been exhausting, I shouldn’t be this tired at 28 years old. I should be out being social and happy and shiny and bright, but instead I am sitting at home planning another doctors visit, and wondering what blood tests they will have in store for me. I am luckier than most, my diseases don’t make me hurt, and for that I am grateful, and I just have to keep reminding myself of that. I just have auto-immune diseases, my body is trying to destroy my thyroid, and I have celiacs disease, and apparently now it’s trying to destroy my cells that create insulin for my body. I have blood tests almost every week, and I had an MRI done yesterday which proved to be added stress I didn’t actually need because it only revealed a microadenoma on my pituitary gland that they weren’t sure if it was really a microadenoma or just cell cell debris because it was so damn small, but because they are doctors they err on the side of caution and so I will have another MRI in 6 months to a year. Why am I telling you all this? Because I need to get it out, I need to bitch and moan and be weak for just one day, I need to not be ok with everything that’s happening for a minute  and I need to feel sad because I am so tired of being wonder woman and going through my every day trying to do it all with a smile. I hate that any of this is happening, I hate that I had to give up all my favorite foods, and sugar, and I am so fucking tired of salads I could scream. I just want to be healthy, I want to stop feeling guilty because I feel like I am robbing my husband of a chance to have a happy healthy wife, I want to be the healthy daughter my parents hoped for, I want to be the friend who isn’t always tired and sad on the inside. I want to remember what its like going through an entire day with out having something to cry about. Today I am not ok, and I am not sorry for that, because tomorrow I will be fine again, but today is my day too feel sorry for myself and to feel angry that I am sick, and to be tired of being tired.

I’ll Have What She’s Having…

Yellow Submarine!

 

L&K Designs made a yellow submarine lamp!!! So what was the first thing I had to do? SIT ON IT! Sitting on interesting things in SL is like an uncontrollable impulse for me, I can’t explain it so I made a pose just for this fun lamp that L made, because really, who doesn’t want to ride a yellow submarine?! She is always making me giggle with some of the awesome things she makes! This is a set of two lamps actually, one has an inverted angle and one is level, and they will be released on the 30th for The Challenge which has the theme of under water this month.

Oh, I guess I should like get off this submarine and show you the actual lamp… Sorry…

One girl, two memes…

I finally feel like I can take a bit of a breather from all the hustle and bustle of the fantasy fair and focus on some  things that I really wanted to do for myself.  Strawberry Singh has been regularly posting little blog memes for people to do and I’ve been so busy that I’ve not been able to do the past to till now so here goes…

1. What’s your SL name? Adaline May pronounced Ad-uh-line
   
2. What made you choose this name? Because I am a complete science neard and was reading an artical about  adaptive linier neurons aka ADALINE lol. And actually,  I’ve had this as a character name for quite a while, I first used it when World of Warcraft came out for my character there.
3. What’s your SL nickname, or what do most people call you? (if applicable) Ada!
4. What’s your SL display name? Why do you choose to have one? (if applicable) Adaline may…
5. Do you like your SL name? Very much so, I wouldn’t have chosen it other wise LOL.
6. If you could change your SL name, what would it be? I am pretty sure I wouldn’t change it, I mean, I have friends in RL that call me Adaline because they’ve gamed with me for so long LOL.
7. What’s the craziest/funniest SL name you’ve ever seen? The craziest name I’ve seen is not appropriate to blog LOL lets just suficite it to say they he wanted to make sure people know he had a large member.

Why Do I Blog

• How long have you been blogging? I started blogging September 1st 2012
  
• Why did you start blogging? I just liked taking pictures really, fun and artsy ones, and I also love writing so blogging seemed like the natural progression
• How many times a week do you post an entry? I TRY to post one a day but life gets in the way or some days you just don’t have that spark of inspiration.
• How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? I read quite a few, I love seeing how other people see the things around them!
• Do you comment on other people’s blogs? I don’t, mostly because not a lot of other people comment and I feel like maybe that’s the norm?
• Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? I do yes, because lets be honest… the search terms people use are hilarious! That and high numbers give me warm fuzzies, makes me think may people actually like what they see/read! ^__^
• Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? Nope, should I? O_o
• Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? I honestly don’t know I try to kind of put myself out there, but what they take from it is up to them.
• Do you blog under your real name? No, I blog with my Second Life name, lol thats all I need is a family member stumbling upon my SL blog…  x_x
• Are there topics that you would never blog about? I tend to avoid topics that are controversial, I don’t do drama and my beliefs are mine alone, I don’t feel I need to push them on everyone else.
• What is the theme/topic of your blog? Artful Blogging, I love photography in second life and being creative. It’s always been my goal not to just show people things in SL but to show them what it’s possible to do with said things.
• Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? I have a tumblr blog thingy, I kind of love it and its just a grouping of beautiful pictures, quotes, and trinkets that inspire me!
• What have you found to be the benefits of blogging?  It connects me with wonderful people that I would have never met had I never blogged!
• So, why do you continue to blog? It’s my creative outlet, a place where I can do what ever I want!

Witch Fire

 

Sometimes pictures just speak for themselves, and it’s hard to find the words to to accentuate them, this is ones of those times lol. I am just absolutely in love with so many things from the Fantasy fair and this photo features a beautifully crafted dress from Bilo and the a stunning Royal Room Skybox from 22769 both available at the fantasy fair!!

The Princess Of Quite A lot…

When I was younger I used to say I may not be the Queen of everything, but I am the Princess of quite a lot, it still stands today hehe. This is another piece from the  Fantasy Fair, this gorgeous filigree mask  comes to us from ~*Star Kindler Designs*~  and it is one of her RFL donation items!  She does some beautiful work that, quite honestly, I am ashamed I didn’t know about before this fair. Her ability to create such a delicate  piece of wearable art astounds me!
